Effective November 20, 2018
For purposes of this policy, “Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
When visitors leave comments on our blog posts, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
The information you submit through our contact form is saved in our database for a short period of time so that we may respond to your inquiries.
As part of the registration process for our newsletter, we collect Personal Data. We use that information to send you our newsletter if you opt in. We do not rent or trade email lists with other organizations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. Through that service, we gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
Because our site uses Google Fonts, visitors’ IP addresses are sent to Google.
No one. We are not in the business of selling or sharing your personal information with other companies or individuals.
We only retain Personal Data for the limited period of time that we need it to fulfill the purposes for which we have initially collected it, unless otherwise required by law.
Contact form submissions will be deleted from our database after we respond to your inquiry or, in any event, within one year.
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the Personal Data that we hold. To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, we will need evidence of your identity before we can grant you access to information about you or change it. Contact us if you wish to initiate this process.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect Personal Data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unlawful form of processing of the Personal Data in our possession. We use SSL technology to encrypt data during transmission through public internet.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or store on our website, and you do so at your own risk. We also cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. If you believe your Personal Data has been compromised, please contact us.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns about this policy.
