Where to donate when you downsize.
Below are some of the places we use for our clients who have items they can no longer use. Please check the websites for donation sites and specifics on what may be donated.
Clothing and Household Items:
Big Brother Big Sister Foundation
Wellspring in Hull and Weymouth
Boomerangs (Jamaica Plain, Boston)
Habitat Restore (household goods only)
Toys and Children’s Clothing:
Check with your a local day care, community center and Boys and Girls Club for toys
Books:
Your local library
Furniture, Appliances, Building Materials:
Yarn and art supplies:
Your local senior center, community center, schools
Pet items:
Your local animal shelter
Your local food pantry
Food, Cleaning supplies and paper goods:
Unopened, unexpired food may be donated to your local food pantry
